Corporate Responsibility

Our commitment to safety is paramount in everything we do and can be recognised with our SSIP accreditation.

Workforce Safety

Ford Civil Engineering takes a highly proactive approach to implementing workplace safety. Our contracts managers are trained to Site Manager Safety Training Scheme level, whilst our foremen have either SMSTS or SSSTS qualifications. All of our site staff, from groundworkers through to machine operators, are all trained to either CSCS or CPCS standards as a minimum.

We work with our clients to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are achieved and maintained throughout each contract. This is monitored through regular site safety audits and inspections from our directors and external consultants.

Responsibilities

We understand the importance of protecting our mental health, which is why we have several trained mental health first aiders within the company, supporting our team and providing a safe space to start difficult conversations.

Responsible sourcing, minimising waste and vehicle efficiency are just a few ways in which we look to improve our environmental impact. We encourage working with clients, suppliers and manufacturers to support innovative products and technologies that can reduce our industry’s carbon footprint.
